Protecting a Trade Secret
How Do You Protect a Trade Secret?
Simple: You keep it a secret. Trade Secret protection begins when you first keep valuable information secret. In order to protect trade secret information, methods such as marking all relevant documents and files as "confidential" or "trade secret", passwords on computer files, restricted physical access to documents or files, and required nondisclosure agreements with individuals to whom the trade secrets are disclosed, will ensure that your trade secrets remain protected.
